//SAY SOMETHING

//AND THEN READ WHAT WE SAY

cassiopeia

theres a place/ theres a hole thats inside your heart/ theres a light/ theres a song that is breaking up/ light it up/ burn it into a million ashes/ its your turn its your final catastrophe
take it apart/ take it all into your hands/ take it apart/ tear it into a million shreds/ shes a virgin now/ shes still waiting for you to come/ shes pale as ice/ shes as pale as september morning sun
her painted foot/ lies impaled on your soiled bed linen/ the strings that cut/ deep into her alabaster flesh/ you pick her up/ crushing her like a munich mannequin/ simply put/ shes a hole that your arrogance will fill
you have let me down/ give me back my crown
in your arms she lay/ she lay when you lied

halfling

you're sitting here although your head is gone/ you're so inadequate you're just a thorn/ you're telling me to wait there's more to come/ i don't quite believe where you are coming from
you've been here since eight/ and i cannot wait/ i've seen bigger things/ you might be a halfling
i think its time for you to go/ and lets not wait til it starts to snow/ i've been too generous with you/ i dont even think you have a clue
i believe i give as good as i get/ i cooked i cleaned i washed and you slept/ there's no excuse don't say you're tired/ so little halfling you're fired

lost in november.

tenuous lines and liberty/ peace thru a filter; what is real
so i'm lost/ in this womb/ so im lost/ f*ck me/ why should i/ follow
beautiful coitus, eat us cold/ nothing to hold, no one to choke
so alone/ remorse/ so alone/ shove me/ fill me/ this hollow
puckered and ugly/ tear and rewrite/ peace thru a filter/ what is real is us

devoid.

i dreamt of zombies at my door/ so alert and agile at an alarming rate/ lifting their withered browning limbs/ congregating howling for humanity
they were rhythmically pounding on my shield/ tonight someone will be at the altar/ blood red seeps through the panes of the window/ there is no more time to save, no time to be saved
i dreamt of falling thirty floors
everybody came just to see how i died/ i closed my eyes and took a breath/ waiting dormant for the sweet and lush release
and time has ground down to a halt/ the sky it looks and feels the same from when i left/ so sparse the streets are cold and dark/ i wouldnt be surprised at all if they were dead

history.

in a white empty cell i listen to/ dreary vocals and emotional riffs/ only the drumbeats persist/ nothing could persuade me otherwise/ that she doesnt care. that i shouldnt care
tears are falling and the touch is both deathly and human/ her body stiffens, and she lets loose. a scream./ where do we draw the line?/ they have been broken so that they can be stronger./ he is god. he questions, he eases the flood.
when will this end?/ when can we live without sadness?/ and why should there be a reason?/ naked i stand in front of this harpy/ trying to plunge the stake into her heart of stone.
yesterday's gone/ tomorrow may be even worse/ maybe i will not be here/ or have i had enough of this madness?/ but she meant everything she said.
so i cried inside my little red heart/ and dreamt for more than this/ dipping my finger in the cauldron./ another one bit the dust./ new acid is mixed and rubbed on my face.

the little ones.

with no uncertain measure/ the praises are thrown forth/ revere uncovered treasures/ face them towards the north/ pray for light to strike/ look out for hidden doors/ proclaim upon on the mic/ that less is never more
to each his own they say/ but we got mouths to feed/ come on out kids let's play/ they're busy with a game called greed/ and it's not for us
the night comes just in time/ it's never soon enough/ slot in a coin, a dime/ she says "don't be rough"/ he sighs with no emotion/ his tongue full of smells/ lost imagination, his head is somewhere else
let us make merry they say/ but they forgot about us/ come on out kids let's play/ they're busy with a game called lust/ and it's not for us
and the seven come marching in

red poppies.

so pure and pristine was the enchanting scene/ of a red poppie blooming/ we're assuming she'll wake up
and we knew her so well yet no one could tell/ and now as she lies sleeping, no one's weeping/ no one knows/ no one ever knew
the glare of the screen becomes a routine/ the sound of the cars echoes from afar/ while she sits alone
they played her favourite song but it all felt so wrong/ curtains fell heavy like unwatered gravy/ she melted away/ melted away

black.

a deathly black is the shroud for this unfeeling land/ the towers sharp pierce the stars in silent reprimand/ how long before they track us down/ before enough becomes too much/ how long before the limit's breached/ before we say goodbye to us
the war is born as the giants shuffle into place/ their might is great, in their mouths a dark and bitter taste/ how long before their work is done/ they will destroy all that we trust/ how long before they stop this feud/ before we say goodbye to us
no time for second chances/ i dont want to die before im young/ the world is closing in on us/ swallow and choke us one by one
we're sinking deeper in their hands/ we're falling back into the earth/ we're crying out for one last chance/ before we say goodbye to us
